FAQS
My classes are 50-60 minutes.
This gives us time to:
warm up physically and vocally
explore and expand our technique creatively with games and exercises;
discuss Knowledge questions
devise and practice our speeches.
Occasionally, I will end a student at 50-minutes to avoid overload or to keep focus.
Usually, we are wishing we had more time!
For younger students (3-6) lessons sometimes end at 45minutes.

This all depends on the student..
If you have performance experience, are a fast learner, or have more time to dedicate to your LAMDA studies, you may need to be challenged with a higher grade.
If you have never taken a LAMDA exam before, are a shy performer, or have difficulty memorising lines, you may find lower grades challenging enough.
The exam criteria varies depending on what Grade and syllabus one is learning. All exams will consist of performing a piece or two and then sitting down with the examiner and answering Knowledge questions.
The examiner not only marks the learner on remembering lines and answers but also, and not limited to; Vocal projection, accuracy in delivering the text, clarity and diction, clear and well-structured answers, fluency, physicality, expression, structure of answers and much more.
Exam criteria varies depending on what grade and syllabus you are learning.
After performing your speech(es), you will sit down with the examiner and answer some questions about your performance, preparation, subject, and character. Your marks for this section all count towards your final grade.
The higher up the grades you go, the more detailed and complex the examiner's questions will be, and you will be expected to reflect this in your answers.
From Grade 6 to 8 LAMDA exams can count towards UCAS points.
The number of points is dependent upon your Grade, Syllabus, and pass rate.
Your exam must also be taken before the UCAS Learner Registration date.
